also, this is the MOST FANTASTIC idea every! And something I have been wanting to do for a long time (sans the playing cards, but what a great way to do it!).

I think we may be style soul mates!! Though your style is much cooler...and I am thinking this because of the letters. Oh, and another PS: I think your writing is amazing. Very fun and funny and clever and well done!

This is so sweet! Your son is so lucky to have such an emotionally expressive mother. My parents and I are from two different cultures, so sometimes it was hard for us to express ourselves to one another when I was growing up. We're better at it now. I remember one of the things my Mom did when we were younger was start journals for my brother and me. We each wrote an entry and then my Mom would respond on the same page. It really helped for more difficult times, like when our year-old cat passed away.

Your letters are so sweet. Especially the last one for your little boy. Your love shines through every single word...and drawing:-)
Loved that!
Go on with this. I would be very proud to receive such a letter from one of my friends.
